Sorry that the last post was incomplete, I had started to write it on Monday and not finished or posted it. I figured I would post it and then start a new one now.
Yesterday we went to our long awaited appointment at the Autism Clinic in Madison. Tom was
formally diagnosed with
Asperger's Syndrome. We knew this was coming. I actually had just been talking to the Neurologist about it, she told me that even though it would be hard I should remember that at this point this is what we want so that we can move forward and get services from the school and what not. As she was saying this I thought I would have no problems and would be pleased with a formal diagnosis, as that is a very necessary
piece of the puzzle that had been missing. It has not been as easy as I thought. I am not sure why really. I knew already what they were going to say but I guess I was not as ready as I thought to hear those words. As everyone knows I have already done tons of research on Autism. However, I have yet to research Asperger's specifically. When I am ready to start doing so I will post information and links to the website. For now though I am not ready. Please feel free to email me information you find, ask questions or make comments as always these will be very welcomed.
Have a good week. More to come later.
